What Happened?

On 26 February 2019, just three months after the game was released, Skybound Entertainment terminated their contract with Starbreeze Studios. This lead to the discontinuation of all efforts on the game, including removal from Steam and cancellation of the console release. Critical reception of the game was mixed, and it was a commercial failure.

Think. Fight. Live.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group try to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead immerses the player into a universe where every single move you make will run the risk of turning a quiet scavenge for loot into an intense adrenaline-fueled and action-packed fight for survival.

Four players form a tightly knit team; Aidan, Heather, Maya and Grant, where each character has their own skill tree, squad role, play style and background story. Now they all share a common objective where survival and teamwork is paramount.
